Nicoletta is the creator behind PAINTmyNOOK — interior design and decoration, with respect for the environment.
“Changing careers in midlife is not an easy decision. I studied civil engineering and worked in that profession for 20 years. It was a job with strict rules, without much room for imagination and creativity — something I felt I was missing.
Carl Jung said that life begins at 40. I think what many call a “midlife crisis” isn’t a crisis at all — it’s simply the next, more mature chapter of our lives.
From what I remember, I loved paper and pencils since I was little, they were everywhere around me, in my parents' technical office. I was always curious and eager to learn. So, at some point, I decided to pick up the thread again: I studied freehand drawing and art history. And it was like starting a second life.
Today, at 46, my artistic side has reconciled with my technical training. I enjoy collaborating with people who care about the environment, who appreciate the uniqueness of handmade items, and who respect the story behind each creation.
I would love to meet you and share ideas. Craftsmanship makes us better — and connects us, almost effortlessly, to a community of creative people who positively impact the world around them, simply by existing. Art and aesthetics are more essential to our lives than we often realize.“
